Dōgon by Kwame Onwuachi
About
Kwame Onwuachi's Washington DC restaurant takes its name from the Dogon people of West Africa, whose descendants include Benjamin Banneker — the self-taught mathematician who helped survey the original boundaries of the District of Columbia. Set along the Southwest Waterfront inside the Salamander Washington DC, Dōgon serves sharing plates built around Nigerian, Jamaican, Trinidadian and Creole tradition. Named one of the best restaurants in North America by the World's 50 Best, Bon Appétit, and the New York Times in 2025. The food is bold, the room is clubby, and the playlist runs classic R&B.
